About us

MyPeakExperience is brought to you by Peak Experience. We want to create a website where everyone who loves the area can join in to tell others about the Peak District.

Peak Experience produces guides, self-guided walking trails and on-site interpretation to the best of the Peak District’s natural and cultural heritage.

We have produced a series of ten themed guides to the region’s rich wildlife, history and culture. These are online at www.peak-experience.org.uk. The ten themes we have come up with for the Peak District are Antiques, Bloody Peak, Churches, Eat the Peak, Film & Literature, Geology, Industrial Pasts, Time Travellers, Water and Wildlife. They are all linked to places to stay, eat and drink which can make your visit to the Peak District all the more enjoyable.

The website also has downloadable print-on-demand PDF self-guided walks, links to Moors for the Future MP3 audio trails and podcasts.

Peak-experience.org.uk contains the stories, information and locations WE thought visitors and residents would like to know more about. But we don’t have all the angles or places covered. Nor should we be the only people to tell the world about the Peak District landscape and heritage. That’s why www.MyPeakExperience.org.uk is here – for you to show and tell us and others what you think is special about the Peak District.

If you wish to find out more about accommodation and other tourist facilities in the Peak District you can visit www.visitpeakdistrict.com.
