Lumsdale Valley, Industrial Heritage Mills & Waterfalls
Added by Wayne Molyneux
Bentley Brook runs through Lumsdale Valley & once turned the massive water wheel of the old mill works here. A mill pond is found at the top of the valley & below this the waterfalls etc start. Lots of varied wildlife birds such as treecreepers nest in the stonework right above your head so keep your eyes open. Please ensure you & your loved ones are safe there are unfenced areas which need to be treated with respect!!!! Here is a link to a 360deg panorama view. http://www.peakdistrictview.com/resource/view_pano.php?panoid=771
How to get there: Take the Chesterfield Road (A632) out of Matlock Bath, after approx one mile turn Right into Lumsdale Road follow the lane down to an "Elbow"in the road & some old mill buildings (Limited parking) go through the squeeze stile to find the valley & waterfalls etc. Please ensure you & your loved ones are safe there are unfenced areas which need to be treated with respect!!!!
