Once an industrial village with several mills. Now a quiet village which is a mecca for walkers, Mountain bikers and others who enjoy the beautiful scenery.

How to get there: From Glossop head South on the A624. From Chapel en le Frith head North on the A624, From Stockport take the A6 to Newtown, turn left towards new Mills, follow the A6015 to Hayfield.

There's lots to do if you like walking or cycling. Some nice pubs doing real ale, and good food too.

Does anyone have any recommendations for things to do in and around Hayfield? Is the village worth a visit?
