Viator Bridge, sweet bridge over the Dove
This is a sweet little stone bridge over the River Dove. It's pleasant just to stroll down it and watch the river flow or go for a longer walk on the footpath. It was here that those 17th century slackers Izaak Walton and Charles Cotton used to spend a bit of time in male-bonding style "contemplative recreation". Walton then wrote about it in Compleat Angler - the first guide for mates hanging out and one of the most reprinted books in English literature.
